Installation

Adhesive: use a high-quality C2TE or C2S1 flexible adhesive; back-buttering is recommended due to tile thickness.
Substrate: ensure a flat, solid, and dry substrate; leveling may be required because Bejmat varies in thickness.
Setting: press tiles firmly to align height differences; a rubber mallet helps achieve an even surface on floors.
Joints: joints of 3–6 mm are recommended to absorb dimensional variations.
Grout: use flexible fine cement grout; epoxy grout may be used in wet areas.
Cutting: cut from the back with a wet saw or fine diamond blade; expect small edge chipping due to the dense clay body.
Blending: mix tiles from multiple boxes before installation to balance natural shade variation.
Sealing (floors only): seal unglazed or matte Bejmat if installed on floors to protect against stains; glazed tiles usually do not require sealing.
Cleaning: use pH-neutral cleaners; avoid acids, abrasive tools, or descaling products.
Maintenance: regular mild cleaning is sufficient; regrouting or replacing individual tiles is possible if needed.
Wet Areas: ensure proper waterproofing in showers and bathrooms before installation.
Safety: clay-based product with zero VOC emissions, suitable for indoor living spaces.
